Munchies for your love

When I think of Bootsy Collins and his alter-ego-maniacal self, I normally think of songs from the P-Funk canon like “Be My Beach.” Or, maybe how weird it is for me to imagine Bootsy playing for James Brown.

Actually, Bootsy has a ton of solo projects. Admittedly, I am ignorant of most of it. But here is one track that I do know and love and think you should too.

“Munchies For Your Love” is somewhat epic. It is a song about a man’s love for his bass, and he takes his time with it. The song is not a three-minute quickie. I love the crazy effects he uses for his bass. Bootsy is not only one of the most influential bassists out there, but also a funny, funny guy.
